SignWell pricing in 2026 is $10 a month for Light and $30 a month for Business on yearly billing, or $12 and $36 month to month. Light includes one sender, Business includes three, and every extra sender costs $10 to $15 a month. Enterprise is quoted for teams of 50 or more. A team of ten on Business pays about $114 a month on yearly billing. Below are the plans, the real team totals at 3 to 25 senders, and where a plan with seats already included works out cheaper.
We sell a competing eSignature product, so read this with that in mind. The SignWell figures come from SignWell's public pricing page as published in October 2026. Our own prices come from our price list. Plan details change, so confirm on SignWell's page before you sign up.
SignWell pricing plans at a glance
SignWell has four tiers. The two paid self serve plans, Light and Business, are priced by sender: a person in your company who prepares and sends documents. People who only sign never need a seat, on SignWell or on any mainstream tool.
| Plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | Senders included | Extra sender | Templates |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter tier at $0 | $0, 3 documents a month | 1 | Not available | 1 | |
| Light | $10 a month | $12 a month | 1 | $10 yearly or $12 monthly | 5 per sender |
| Business | $30 a month | $36 a month | 3 | $12 yearly or $15 monthly | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | Custom quote | Custom, for teams of 50 or more | Custom | Unlimited | |
Both paid plans include unlimited documents, which is SignWell's strongest selling point. Business adds 50 SMS messages a month for text delivery. The API sits alongside every plan with 25 API documents a month at no charge and a per document fee after that.
How much does SignWell cost per month?
SignWell costs $10 to $36 a month for the base plan, plus $10 to $15 a month for every sender beyond the ones included. A solo user on Light pays $10 a month on yearly billing. A company of five on Business pays $54 a month on yearly billing, or $66 month to month. The real bill is the base price plus extra senders times headcount.
Yearly billing saves you about 17% on the base plan and 20% on extra senders. If your team has been sending contracts for more than a few months and expects to keep doing so, yearly billing is the sensible choice on SignWell as on most tools.
What a team pays at real headcounts
This is where SignWell's model shows its shape. The base Business plan is cheap, and each additional sender adds $12 a month on yearly billing. The table compares that with our company plans, which include a fixed number of seats and a monthly envelope allowance.
| People who send | SignWell Business, yearly | SignWell Business, monthly | SignElectronically, yearly | SignElectronically, monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | $30 | $36 | $24 (Starter, 50 envelopes) | $49 |
| 5 | $54 | $66 | $74 (Plus, 500 envelopes) | $149 |
| 10 | $114 | $141 | $74 (Plus, 500 envelopes) | $149 |
| 15 | $174 | $216 | $249 (Pro, 2,000 envelopes) | $499 |
| 25 | $294 | $336 | $249 (Pro, 2,000 envelopes) | $499 |
Read the table honestly. At four to six senders and at around fifteen, SignWell is cheaper than our nearest plan, and it never limits document volume. At ten senders on yearly billing, Plus costs $40 a month less. At 25 senders our Pro plan costs $45 a month less and also includes the REST API, embedded signing and SSO, which SignWell keeps for Enterprise or bills per API document. Month to month, SignWell is the cheaper option at almost every headcount.
Is SignWell worth it for a small team?
Yes, for many small teams SignWell is good value. If three to six people send contracts, you rarely need text message codes, and you do not plan to connect signing to your own software, Business at $30 to $54 a month is hard to beat. Unlimited documents also suit a team with unpredictable volume.
It gets weaker as the team grows and the requirements harden. Three situations push buyers to compare:
- Your team crosses ten senders. Every new hire adds to the bill, and so does every part timer who sends two documents a month. A plan with ten or 25 seats already included stops that drift.
- You need the API at volume. 25 API documents a month is enough to test an integration, not to run one. On our Pro plan the API, webhooks and embedded signing are part of the plan price.
- IT asks for single sign on. SSO is an Enterprise conversation on SignWell, which starts at 50 users. Our Pro plan includes SAML SSO and SCIM for 25 seats.
SignWell API pricing
SignWell API pricing starts with 25 API documents a month at no charge on every plan, then a fee per document for each one after that. SignWell's pricing page does not publish the per document rate in the plan comparison, so request it before you build. If you expect hundreds of documents a month through your own software, the per document fee becomes the main cost.
Developers who compare signing APIs usually look at three things: the cost per document at their expected volume, whether webhooks report completion reliably, and whether signing can be embedded inside their own app. Our eSignature API page describes how ours works, and on Pro it is included with 2,000 envelopes a month rather than billed per call.
SignWell vs SignElectronically compared on features
| Feature | SignWell | SignElectronically |
|---|---|---|
| How it is priced | Base plan plus each extra sender | One company plan with 3, 10 or 25 seats included |
| Document volume | Unlimited on Light and Business | 50, 500 or 2,000 envelopes a month |
| Text message delivery or codes | 50 SMS messages a month on Business | SMS codes on Plus and Pro |
| Bulk send | Listed among plan features | Plus up to 200 per batch, Pro up to 1,000 |
| API | 25 documents a month, then per document | Webhooks on Plus, REST API and embedded signing on Pro |
| Single sign on | Enterprise, 50 users and up | SAML SSO and SCIM on Pro |
| Audit trail | Yes | Audit certificate with timestamps, IP and document hash on every plan |
| Long term contract | No, cancel any time | No, monthly or yearly billing |
Where SignWell clearly wins: unlimited documents, a lower entry price for a single sender, and cheaper month to month billing. Where we win: a predictable bill once ten or more people send, and API and SSO without moving to a custom contract. One honest gap on our side: we do not collect payments inside the signing flow and we do not offer notarization.
Which SignWell plan should you choose?
Pick by the number of people who send and by what IT will ask for in six months, not by the headline price.
- One person who sends: SignWell Light at $10 a month is a sensible, cheap choice. Five templates are enough for most freelancers.
- Two to six people: SignWell Business. Three senders are included and extra ones are inexpensive.
- Seven to 25 people: price both. Around ten senders, a plan with seats included is usually cheaper, and it removes the conversation every time someone joins the team.
- Developers or SSO required: compare SignWell Enterprise with our Pro plan, which includes the API and SAML SSO at a listed price.
If you also want to know how the bigger names compare, our DocuSign pricing breakdown and the best electronic signature software for small businesses comparison use the same headcount arithmetic. And if the rollout also means every outgoing company email should carry the same name, title and contact block, that is a separate job for email signature software that sets one template for the whole team.
How to switch from SignWell without losing records
- Download completed documents and their audit trails. Export every signed PDF and its certificate before your billing period ends, and store them by client or contract type.
- Finish envelopes in flight. Let documents that are already out for signature complete on SignWell. Send new ones from the new tool.
- Rebuild your top templates first. Most teams send 80% of their volume from three or four templates. Recreate those with roles and fields, and the rest as you need them.
- Invite your senders. On a company plan everyone gets a seat on day one, so there is no approval step for each new person.
- Repoint webhooks or API calls. If you built an integration, update the endpoint and test with a handful of envelopes before you switch traffic.
Our pricing page lists every plan with seats, envelopes and features side by side, and you can upload a PDF and send it from our electronic signature software in a couple of minutes to see how it feels before you commit.
Frequently asked questions
How much is SignWell per month?
SignWell is $10 a month for Light and $30 a month for Business on yearly billing, or $12 and $36 billed monthly. Light includes one sender and Business includes three. Each extra sender costs $10 to $12 a month on yearly billing or $12 to $15 monthly. Enterprise for 50 or more users is quoted individually.
Does SignWell charge per user?
Partly. SignWell charges a base price that includes one sender on Light or three on Business, then adds a fee for each extra sender. Signers never pay and never need an account. So a team of ten on Business pays the base plan plus seven extra senders, about $114 a month on yearly billing.
Is SignWell cheaper than DocuSign?
Yes, for most small teams. DocuSign Standard is $30 per user a month on annual billing, so five senders pay $150 a month, while SignWell Business for five is $54. SignWell also includes unlimited documents, where DocuSign Standard allows about 100 envelopes per user per year. DocuSign offers more enterprise features and integrations.
What is the SignWell API pricing?
Every SignWell plan includes 25 API documents a month at no charge, and each document beyond that is billed individually. The per document rate is not shown in the plan comparison, so ask SignWell for it before you build an integration. At high volume, a plan that includes the API with an envelope allowance can cost less.
What is a good SignWell alternative for a team of 10 to 25?
A plan with seats included is usually the better fit at that size. SignElectronically Plus includes 10 seats and 500 envelopes a month for $74 on yearly billing, and Pro includes 25 seats, 2,000 envelopes, the API and SSO for $249. That is less than SignWell Business at both ten and 25 senders.
Does SignWell have a contract or cancellation fee?
No. SignWell states that its plans have no long term contract and no cancellation fee, and you can choose monthly or yearly billing. Yearly billing is cheaper but paid up front, so check the refund terms before you pick it if your team size is likely to change during the year.
