Bulk Send Documents for Signature From One CSV

To bulk send documents for signature, pick a template, upload a CSV with one row per person and confirm. Each recipient gets a personal envelope with their own details filled in, and you track all of them in one batch view.

How it works

Four steps from spreadsheet to sent

  1. 1

    Choose a template

Start from a saved template with roles and fields, for example an offer letter with a Candidate role and an HR lead role.

  2. 2

    Upload the CSV

Export the list from your HR system or spreadsheet. One row is one envelope. The first line holds the column headers.

  3. 3

    Map the columns

Match name and email to the signing role and any other column to a text field. Rows with errors are flagged with the reason.

  4. 4

    Review and send

See the number of envelopes, the quota left this period and a preview of the first row, then send the batch.

Why not one big envelope

Every person signs a private copy

A policy update for 180 employees should not be one document with 180 signature lines. Nobody wants a colleague to see their name, email and signing time, and one person on holiday would hold up the whole file.

With bulk send each row becomes its own envelope. It has its own link, its own reminders, its own expiry date and its own audit trail. When a person signs, their sealed PDF is final, whether or not anyone else has signed theirs.

  • Personal fields filled from the CSV, such as name, job title or start date
  • One batch view with sent, viewed, signed and declined counts
  • Reminders only to the people who have not signed
  • Download all completed PDFs of a batch as one ZIP

What the CSV looks like

offer-letters.csv
name,email,job_title,start_date,salary
Alex Morgan,[email protected],Account manager,2026-11-03,"$68,000"
Jordan Price,[email protected],Support lead,2026-11-03,"$61,500"
Sam Chen,[email protected],Data analyst,2026-11-17,"$74,000"

Plain comma separated text in UTF-8, the format every spreadsheet exports. Headers can have any name, because you map them on the next screen. Values with a comma go in double quotes.

Keep one template per document type. For hiring rounds, see how HR teams combine templates and bulk send for an offer letter eSignature flow.

Questions

Bulk send FAQ

Bulk send takes one template and a list of recipients and creates a separate envelope for each person. Everyone signs their own copy and nobody sees the other recipients. It is the opposite of one envelope with many signers, where all signatures land on the same document.

Send the whole list in one go

Bulk send is part of Plus, with 10 seats and 500 envelopes a month.
