DocuSign alternative

DocuSign Alternatives for Business Teams

The most practical DocuSign alternative for a team is a tool with the same core, signing order, reminders, audit trail and sealed PDF, priced as one plan instead of per user. SignElectronically does that: Plus covers 10 seats for $74 a month on yearly billing.

Monthly cost for 10 people who send

DocuSign Business Pro, 10 users $450/mo

$45 per user per month

DocuSign Standard, 10 users $300/mo

$30 per user per month, no bulk send

SignElectronically Plus, 10 seats $74/mo

$888 billed yearly, bulk send and webhooks included

Where the money goes

Per user pricing grows with every hire

Most teams that look for a DocuSign alternative are not unhappy with signing itself. They are unhappy with the invoice. When sales, HR and operations all need to send, a per user price turns a simple tool into one of the larger software lines in the budget.

With SignElectronically you pick the plan that matches how many documents you send. Seats are included, signers never pay, and the envelope quota is stated per month on every plan. If you outgrow it, you move up a plan and pay only the difference for the rest of the period.

  • Starter, 3 seats and 50 envelopes a month, $24/mo billed yearly
  • Plus, 10 seats and 500 envelopes a month, $74/mo billed yearly
  • Pro, 25 seats and 2,000 envelopes a month with the API, $249/mo billed yearly
  • Enterprise from 50 seats with a seat calculator and checkout, no sales call

What stays the same

The workflow your team already knows

Upload and place fields

Drop a PDF, Word file or image, then drag signature, initials, date, text, checkbox, name, email and company fields onto the page.

Signing order

Send in sequence, in parallel, or in groups. The second signer gets the email only when the first has signed.

Reminders and expiry

Set a reminder every few days and an expiry date. Nobody on your team has to chase signatures by hand.

Audit certificate

Every completed envelope gets a certificate with UTC timestamps, IP addresses and SHA-256 hashes. Read more about the electronic signature audit trail.

Bulk send

Send one template to up to 200 people from a CSV on Plus, each getting their own envelope. See bulk send.

API and webhooks

Webhooks from Plus, REST API and embedded signing on Pro. The eSignature API page has real request examples.

Be fair to both

When DocuSign is still the better choice

DocuSign is a mature product with a very large catalogue. If your work depends on one of the things below, keep it, or run both tools side by side for different teams.

  • You need qualified electronic signatures (QES) for EU documents that legally require them
  • You rely on notary features or industry specific add-ons
  • Your contracts go through a contract lifecycle suite that is built around DocuSign
  • Your counterparties insist on a named vendor in procurement

A simple way to decide

  1. 1. Count your senders. If more than three people send documents, per user pricing is usually where the cost is.
  2. 2. Count envelopes per month. Pick the plan whose monthly quota covers your busiest month.
  3. 3. Check your document types. Wills, court orders and a few others are excluded from eSignature laws everywhere. Our ESIGN and UETA guide lists them.
  4. 4. Try the signing yourself. Sign a PDF on the homepage without an account and look at the sealed result.

Questions

DocuSign alternative FAQ

For the everyday work of a business team, yes. You upload a PDF, place signature and form fields, send it to several signers in a fixed order, and get a sealed PDF with an audit certificate. Templates, reminders, bulk send, webhooks and an API are included in the plans listed on the pricing page. We do not offer qualified electronic signatures (QES) or notary workflows.
